Elche rail tunnel excavation complete Excavation of the 1,288 m-long Elche tunnel, of which 255 m was cut/cover, was completed on 24.02.2011. The tunnel is on the El Carrus-Elche section of the Madrid-Castilla La Mancha-Comunidad Valenciana-Murcia high-speed line.
