Code of Practice for Risk Management of Tunnel Works The BTS has published a joint code of practice agreed with British insurers designed to promote and secure best practice for the minimization and management of risks associated with the design, construction and renovation of tunnels, caverns, shafts and associated underground structures. Compliance will reduce both the size and frequency of claims, while breaches may result in suspension or cancellation of insurance.
