British Tunnelling Society Conference & Exhibition 2026 Returns to London

The British Tunnelling Society Conference & Exhibition 2026 will take place on 6–7 October 2026 at the QEII Conference Centre in Westminster, London. Recognised as the UK tunnelling industry’s flagship event, the conference once again brings together leading professionals from across the underground construction sector for two days of technical insight, innovation and high-level networking.

Organised by tunnellers for tunnellers, the event has built a strong reputation as the most cost-effective and industry-focused tunnelling conference in the UK. It provides a dedicated platform for engineers, contractors, consultants, asset owners, clients and suppliers to exchange knowledge, share project experience and explore the technologies shaping the future of underground infrastructure.

The 2026 conference is expected to attract more than 800 tunnelling professionals, alongside over 55 leading global suppliers exhibiting the latest equipment, services and technical solutions. The exhibition floor will showcase innovations across TBM technology, ground engineering, digital monitoring, sustainability, materials, and safety systems, reflecting the evolving priorities of major infrastructure programmes in the UK and internationally.

A comprehensive conference programme will feature presentations from prominent UK and international industry figures, covering major project case studies, technical advancements, sustainability strategies, digital transformation and emerging best practice. With the UK continuing to deliver complex underground works across transport, water, energy and urban development sectors, the event provides timely insight into both current schemes and future opportunities.

Beyond the technical sessions, the conference offers unrivalled networking opportunities. Delegates consistently highlight the value of meeting peers, reconnecting with colleagues and establishing new professional relationships in a focused, industry-specific environment. As John Corcoran, BTS Chair, previously commented, the event offers a great venue, strong value, informative presentations and the opportunity to engage directly with leading suppliers serving the tunnelling industry.

Early Bird registration rates are available for bookings made before 30 April 2026.

Further information, including programme details and registration, can be found at www.btsconference.com.

Tunnelbuilder encourages its readers to attend what promises to be one of the most important UK tunnelling events of 2026. 09/26.
