Archidona tunnel excavation completeConstruction of the single bore, twin track Archidona tunnel on the Archidona-Arroyo de la Negra section of the Antequera-Granada high speed line was completed on 21.10.2010. NATM techniques were employed, with a top heading and bench sequence using mechanical and drill/blast excavation. The 85 sq m tunnel is 1,100 m-long with 62 m in cut/cover.
