Periodic indicative notice (PIN) without call for competition to invite potential suppliers to dialogue meetings in Oslo in October and November 2015 about the Norwegian ERTMS Project. Jernbaneverket is planning the procurement of a new signalling system based on the ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) standard. The goal is to renew part of the existing signalling systems on the railway network before 2030. The renewal includes trackside systems, on board equipment and the introduction of a national Traffic Management System (TMS).
The driving force for the renewal is the need for replacing the existing signalling systems.
The Norwegian railway network comprises:
— 4 219 route km,
— 246 km (approx. 6 %) double track,
— 733 tunnels,
— 2 557 bridges,
— 339 stations with regular passenger traffic.
