Since July 2009, MTR Corporation Ltd awarded more than ten contracts for West Island Line in Hong Kong, among which the three main tunnel civil contracts for the 3 km tunnel with the three stations: Kennedy Town, Hong Kong University and Sai Ying Pun. The JV Dragages - Maeda - BSG secured Contract 703, including the bi-tube tunnel (eastbound 770 m, westbound 490 m) on Sheung Wan-to-Sai Ying Pun section. A slurry TBM will be used.
