Azerbaijan Association of Tunnels hosted a two-day conference in Baku on 10-11th September, 2012 to attract foreign companies for construction of metro stations, road tunnels, irrigation networks and sewage lines. Late last year, a 6.3 m-diameter Robbins EPB commenced boring 3.5 km segmentally-lined tunnels at Baku metro. Road tunnels are planned beneath the Caucasus between Gabala and Shahdag.
