PROJECT DESCRIPTION
N-ERGIE Netz GmbH intends to upgrade the 110 kV transmission cables within its network area to support the energy transition.
The project involves:
- Replacement of old 110 kV cables with new, higher-capacity cables in the city of Nürnberg
- Under-crossing of the Plärrer area beneath existing subway structures using specialized closed tunnelling techniques
- Cable installation will be carried out entirely using the microtunneling method, including start and reception shafts
- Full tunnelling construction is technically and economically optimal, allowing efficient use of existing site setup and minimizing surface disruption (traffic, utilities, etc.)
