On November 11, a celebration was held at the segment factory of the BBT Gola del Sill–Pfons construction site to mark the completion of the main tunnel excavation works for the Austrian Lot H41 Gola del Sill–Pfons, located near the Europa Bridge. The event was attended by local authorities, the management of BBT SE, the construction companies, and the children from St. Peter-Ellbögen Primary School and Matrei Middle School, who in early summer 2023 had chosen the names Lilia and Ida for the two TBMs used in this section. 

The first cross-border connection of the Brenner Base Tunnel (BBT) was completed on September 18, while TBM Ida and TBM Lilia reached their final destination in the municipality of Navis on August 22 and October 6, respectively. 

Of the nine TBMs used in the project, only Wilma and Olga remain operational. They are currently excavating the last 9 km of the west and east main tunnels in the adjacent Austrian Lot H53 Pfons–Brenner. 

To date, approximately 90% of the BBT excavations have been completed, amounting to a total of 206 km of tunnels, broken down as follows:

• 101 km – main train tunnels
• 57 km – exploratory tunnel
• 48 km – other tunnels
