Contract Description

Adif has awarded a contract for the maintenance of key operational and safety systems on the La Robla – Pola de Lena section of the León–Asturias high-speed rail line, including the Pajares Bypass.

The contract has been awarded to Hitachi Rail España SL, based in Madrid, and covers the upkeep and operational reliability of signaling systems, fixed telecommunications, centralized traffic control (CTC), safety installations, and civil protection systems along this strategic high-speed corridor.

Scope of Services

The contract includes maintenance and operational support for:

• Signalling systems

• Fixed telecommunications infrastructure

• Centralized traffic control (CTC) systems

• Railway safety installations

• Civil protection and emergency systems

• Associated technical assistance and system performance monitoring

Contract Value

• Awarded value: EUR 11.06 million

• VAT: Excluded
