The Land Transport Authority has appointed McConnell Dowell South East Asia (SEA) Pvt Ltd and SK E&C (Singapore) to complete construction works for three Downtown Line 2 (DTL2) stations following the insolvency of Alpine Bau GmbH, the earlier contractor. McConnell Dowell (SEA) will complete the construction of Sixth Avenue and King Albert Park stations and associated tunnels for a contract sum of approximately EUR150 million (SGD254 million), while SK E&C (Singapore) will complete the construction of Tan Kah Kee station and associated tunnels for EUR131 million (SGD222 million).
