This is for the design, supply, set-up and rollout of a control system for the 9.2 km Chenani-Nashri tunnel or Patnitop Tunnel. It is situated on the two-lane NH1A highway linking Jammu to Srinagar, in the northern states of Jammu and Kashmir, it is the longest in Southeast Asia. They will build a centralized integrated management solution for the various intelligent traffic systems (ITS) that will be deployed in the tunnel and have guaranteed compliance with quality and security standards. India has initiated the process of constructing the 1,000 MW (4 x 250 MW) Pakal Dul (Drangdhuran) hydroelectric plant in District Kishtwar with an invitation of Bids (International Competitive Bidding). It is a reservoir-based scheme proposed on river Marusudar, the main right bank tributary of river Chenab in the Kishtwar district. IRB Infrastructure Developers secured the EUR1.39 billion (Rs 10,050-crore) contract for the 14.08 km Zojila or Zozila tunnel construction on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh highway in Jammu and Kashmir. The project is based on a design, build, finance, operate & transfer (annuity). It involves the construction of a two-lane and bi-directional tunnel with an escape route and a 10.8-km approach road. The NH-1 Srinagar–Sonmarg–Gumri Road, will include three vertical ventilation shafts, a 700-m snow gallery and avalanche protection measures.
