New Zealand Rosedale sewer outfall holedThe 3.3 m-diameter EPB employed by McConnell Dowell on the 2.95 km-long Auckland Rosedale outfall has holed through into the prepared subaqueous shaft, some 600 m offshore in the Hauraki Gulf. The 2.8 m ID tunnel is segmentally lined and runs at depths between 25 and 60 m onshore and 30 m offshore. The project is on schedule for commissioning in July, 2010.
