Skanska Norge AS secured the EUR 293.68 million (NOK2.9 bn) E103 contract for engineering design services and construction of the new 2x3 lanes Strand - Ramstadsletta section, part of the E18 West Corridor project from Lysaker to Ramstadsletta. This approx. 2km E18 stretch includes parts of the Hovik tunnel (1 210 m and 1 160 m respectively for the westbound and eastbound tubes) and a 0.7km open air section. The construction work on the contract will start during the summer of 2022 and is scheduled to be completed by 2029.
