Scope of Works

Landsvirkjun has issued a contract notice for the enlargement of the headrace tunnel cross-section at the Sultartangi Power Station in Iceland.

The works comprise excavation and associated construction activities to increase the hydraulic capacity of the existing headrace tunnel by lowering the tunnel invert.

Existing cross-sectional area: Approx. 152 m²

Lowering of tunnel invert by 4.5 m below existing level
