Project Scope
Contracts covering soil and bedrock investigations for the design phase of the Airport Line (Lentorata) railway project have been awarded across six lots.
The investigations will support the planning and engineering design of a new 25 km railway connection between Pasila and Kerava via Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The line will significantly increase rail capacity on the Helsinki region’s long-distance and commuter rail network and will include extensive underground construction.
The scope of work includes geological and geotechnical investigations, drilling, rock and soil sampling, and analysis to determine ground conditions along the future railway alignment and within planned underground sections.
