Open invitation to tender, deadline 18.04.2017, for the construction lot H51 Pfons Brenner on the Austrian side of the Brenner Base Tunnel project. The contract includes the conventional excavation of a safety tunnel towards the North up until the 22km point and towards the South up until the border at 32.1 km. Also part of the tender is the conventional excavation at Wolf an emergency stop with associated works and communication point at St. Jodok; the mechanized excavation of the main tubes towards the north to the 13.5 km point and towards the South at the Brenner-Austria/Italy Border at 32.1 km point. There will be 55 bypasses and linings. Value of the contract is EUR1.28 bn, excluding VAT. The duration of the contract is 86 months from the award.
