TBM progress on Barcelona drives On the Madrid-Barcelona-French border high-speed railway line, Herrenknecht TBM Gerunda reached the Parc de la Devesa shaft on 17.05.2011, after boring 885 m of the 1,565 m-long Girona II tunnel. To date, the TBM has installed 3,444 segments for a total of 492 lining rings. The planned investment for the 3.6 km-long section, which includes urban tunnels and Girona station, is more than EUR278 million. On the same line, Herrenknecht TBM Barcino has resumed boring the final 1,338 m section of the Sants-La Sagrera tunnel following maintenance.
