Oshlid road tunnel opens to Iceland trafficThe 5,435 m-long single-tube, two-lane Oshlid (or Bolungarvikur) tunnel opened to traffic on 25.10.2010. Original plans were to place the tunnel nearer the coastline, but it was moved further inland, making the alignment longer.
