Grand Paris Express - July Updates

Line18  - Last week the TBM Céline reached the Grande Ceinture manufact for the Grand Paris Express’s Line 18.  A symbolic first step in its underground journey to join the Marechal Leclerc shaft in Massy, it still has 4 km of tunnel to dig.

Line 17 - On the 20/07/2022 the TBM Dorine is back on site at the Le Bourget RER station. Which is the final stage before finishing its second tunnel at the Rolland site. Next, Dorine will be moved from one side to the other of the station, before resuming her underground adventure.

TBM Florence, which started in December 2020 from the Flandres shaft in Bonneuil-en-France, has completed the first section of a 3.4 km long tunnel, between the Flandres shaft and the Rolland au Bourget artifact, passing through the future Le Bourget Aeroport station of the Line 17. The machine is now being dismantled at the Rolland site.

The pieces of the TBM will be transported to the construction site of the Triangle de Gonesse station where they will be reassembled again for a further excavation of the final section towards Flandres shaft at the end of 2022.
