Correction: Robbins Signs Cooperation Agreement with Dalian Heavy IndustrialThere is a correction to our piece of news regarding The Robbins Company published in E-News Weekly 40/2004, p.1 dated 23rd September 2004. Robbins has no plan to close their USA manufacturing facilities. On the contrary, Robbins has this year purchased another manufacturing facility in Kent, Washington. Robbins has and will continue their research and development programme in the USA. We would like to apologize to our readers for this misinformation. Robbins Signs Cooperation Agreement with Dalian Heavy Industrial: On 13th July, 2004 Robbins signed an agreement with Dalian Heavy Industrial (DHI). The main points of the cooperation agreement are: both parties will cooperate to develop a world class TBM manufacturing facility for the Chinese market. Robbins will provide TBM design and manufacturing technology as well as marketing. DHL will provide manufacturing services in their new state of the art facility. the first project is for two 8 m-diameter TBMs, which will be manufactured under the agreement, for the Dao Huo Fang water transfer in Liaoning province. Robbins anticipates this agreement to be expanded due to increased business in China.
