The consortium composed of Budimex SA (leader), Gulermak Agir Sanayi Insaat ve Taahhut AS (partner) and Gulermak Sp. z o.o. (partner) have secured the EUR 447,28 million (PLN1.93 bn) contract, excluding VAT, for the demolition, reconstruction, widening and construction of section D from km 48+600 to km 61+220 and for technical infrastructure in the section from km 48+600 to km 61+581 as part of the project to modernise railway line n. 104 Chabowka - Nowy Sacz. The contract includes construction of two tunnels totalling 7.5 km: the main tunnel - external diameter 10.6 m - will be excavated by TBM.
