Prior information notice to provide information on a planned project in Bergen for the development of a light rail, road, and cycle path from the centre of Bergen to Asane/Vagsbotn. This is an invitation to a market meeting to be held in Bergen on the 10/03/2022 from 11:00-16:00 for the Light Rail, construction stage 5. Norconsult AS from Sandvika has been awarded a EUR 14.92 million (NOK150 million) E01 contract on a framework agreement for design assignments for Bybanen Utbygging. 

The framework agreement, with a duration of up to 8 years, includes major engineering design services for preparatory contracts and projects for Bergen’s Light Rail, construction stage 5 and also assignments for construction of stage 4.  

The fourth construction stage will run from the city centre via Haukeland Hospital and Kronstad to Mindemyren and then through Løvstakken in a tunnel towards Oasen. 

The fifth construction stage runs from the city centre through Asane to Vagsbotn, together with a continual cycle route and an extension of the Fløyfjell tunnel to Eidsvåg. Cowi AS from Oslo have secured the contract for the engineering design for the Light Rail, Construction stage 5, from the Bergen centre through Åsane to Vågsbotn. Stage 5 involves a 12.8 km section with 14 stops, a continual cycle route and a 2.5km extension of the Fløyfjell tunnel to Eidsvåg. The total length of the tunnel will be 5.3km.
