Sluiskil tunnel construction startedOn 05.10.2011, after a period of preparatory work, construction of the east adit of the 1,330 m-long twin tube Sluiskil tunnel under the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal in the Province of Zeeland started. At the beginning of 2013, the TBM will commence boring. The deepest point of the tunnel is 30 m below sea level, external diameter of each tube 11 m.
