Robbins EPBs at Zhengzhou MetroA pair of Robbins 6.3 m-diameter EPBs will excavate parallel Zhengzhou Metro Line 1 tunnels for 3.6 km at shallow depths through four downtown stations between Kaixuan and Tongbo. The geology comprises clay, fine sand, loess, with some pebbles and groundwater and will require conditioning using foam and bentonite. For the full story read the Robbins press release. 43/10.
