Prado Sud, a consortium led by Vinci Concessions with Eiffage, inaugurated the 1.5 km-long Prado Sud tunnel in Marseille on 15.11.2013. It opened to traffic the following day, seven months ahead of schedule. The consortium has been involved the financing, design, construction and now, the operation of the tunnel, through a Public Service Delegation contract. This concession contract between the Marseille Metropolitan Area and Societe Prado Sud came into effect in 2008 for a period of 47 years, including time for project design and construction.
