The 11.5 m-diameter Herrenknecht TBM Barcino was launched from a shaft situated between Mallorca and Biscaia Calles on 26.03.2010. The 105 m-long, 2,300 t machine will drive 5.1 km of the 5.6 km tunnel between Sants and La Sagrera, exiting at a shaft in Provenca Enetsa calles. The Barcelona-Figueres section of the AV Madrid-Barcelona-French border line will cost EUR4,200 million, of which EUR179.3 million is for Sants-La Sagrera tunnel. For more click here and es/20.
