Fifth section of Segarra-Garrigues canal project underway, including 5 km-long x 4.1 m-diameter Bessons tunnel awarded to JV Acciona/ACSA Sorigue/Rubau. Original TBM M-949M supplied to Acciona in 2005 has been converted by Herrenknecht, from 3.5 m-diameter cutterhead with universal ring lining system to 4.1 m-diameter cutterhead for CBE honeycomb dowel system lining on this project, with facility to convert back in future.
