Rome Metro Line C section completedOn 08.06.2011, excavation and lining of the second tube of the Giardinetti-San Giovanni section of Metro Line C in Rome was completed by Herrenknecht EPB TBM No 2 as the final link of the 19 km-long underground section between Monte Compatri/Pantano and San Giovanni. By mid-2012, the Monte Compatri/Pantano-Parco di Centocelle section will be opened, serving 15 stations. The remaining section with 7 station to San Giovanni will follow later in the year. The San Giovanni-Colosseo section, including two stations, is funded and the sites are due to be opened.
