On the 14/11/2021 the construction of the 5.9km Llogara tunnel officially started.  The tunnel, on the road between Vlora and Saranda along the southern part of the Albanian Rivera, is planned to cost about ALL 19 billion (about EUR 155 million). A long-awaited project, which increases road safety, shortens the distance to the coast and promotes tourism development. By the end of 2024 the tunnel will connect Saint Eliza Bridge in Dukat with Palasa Bridge on the other side of Llogara.   For further more detailed information please click here for a video and al/16 for the tunnelbuilder archive. 46/21.
