The consortium ETF (55 percent)/Colas (45 percent) secured the EUR150 million contract for construction and maintenance during 20 years of rail infrastructure (tracks and catenaries) for lines 3 and 6 of the metro system of Santiago, Chile. Work includes the installation of 75 km of electrified track (rigid overhead rail) in a tunnel, as well as 15 km of electrified track (conventional overhead lines) for two depots. Commissioning is scheduled for 2017 for line 6 and 2018 for line 3. The Lines 3 and 6 will be totally underground. Line 3 will be 22 km-long with 18 stations from Huechuraba in Quilicura municipality to Larrain in the Reina municipality. Line 6 will be 15.3 km-long with ten stations from Cerrillos to Los Leones.
