Announcing Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions DivisionBob Fassl has been appointed President of Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions division, a newly-formed division within Atlas Copco's Construction and Mining Technique business area. On 19th February, 2004 Atlas Copco signed a USD225 million agreement to acquire Ingersoll-Rand Drilling Solutions, a manufacturer and distributor of drilling equipment and consumables for surface mining and construction, with its head office in Texas. The business has a USD300 million turnover and 950 employees. Fassl has been managing the acquisition process and will be responsible for integration of Drilling Solutions into the Atlas Copco Group.
