  Weser, near Bremen, twin highway tunnel 2 x 1.6 km using 11.67 m-diameter Herrenknecht Mixshield S-152. Contractors Hochtief AG, Philipp Holzmann AG, Ludwig Freytag GmbH, Heinrich Hecker GmbH and Martin Oetken GmbH. November 1999.   11.7 m-diameter Herrenknecht Mixshield has completed 1.3 km with 300 m to go on south tube. Will be dismantled and taken back across Weser for relaunch for north tube after planned modification to cutterhead to improve bentonite flow through integral rock crusher. Ground conditions are sand, clay, gravel and boulders up to 1 m diameter. 140,000 t of Norwegian granite of 150 mm nominal sizing placed as carpet over 500 m-long x 75 m-wide section of riverbed as protection against blowout and tunnel elevation has been deepened by 3.5 m. The 30% of cutters visible above the lowered bentonite level have been changed twice by divers, but slower progress is presently more acceptable than further cutter changes at up to 4.5 bar. Segmental lining outside diameter 11.3 m and 50 cm thick with 1.5 m width. Weight of 6+1 ring is 65 t. Average advance 3 rings/day in clay and 10 rings/day in sand. DB announced commencement of work on 89 km line with 9 tunnels totalling 25.6 km. Seven longest will be Goggelsbusch 2.3 km; Offenbau 1.33 km; Euerwang 7.7 km; Irlahull 7.26 km; Stammhan 1.32 km; Geisberg 3.3 km; and Audi 1.14 km, the latter to be driven by Walter Bau/Dywidag. The major contracts, value DM1.4 bn, were awarded in sections north, central and south to Bilfinger & Berger/Bogl, Hochtief, and Bergerbau/August Reiners Bau. Nov 1998. 80 km route length with 25 km in nine tunnels of which 22.5 km is NATM with sections ranging from 110m2 to 148 m2 and 3.14 km cut-and-cover 148-175 m2. Noteworthy are Goggelsbuch (2.29 km), Euerwang (7.7 km), Irlahull (7.26 km) and Geisberg (3.3 km). All drives under way with the longest two for completion 2001. March 1999. Bilfinger & Berger has commenced construction of the 2.3 km-long Goggelsbuch tunnel near Nuremberg. Deutsche Bahn AG has commissioned a joint venture (JV) led by Ed. Zueblin AG of Stuttgart (60 percent) to build the 5.9 km Albabstieg tunnel along the new Wendlingen–Ulm rail line from the Swabian Jura to the tracks at Ulm Central Station. Contract value EUR250 million, starting spring 2014.

The tunnel, with a north portal in Dornstadt and a south portal in Ulm, will consist of two single-track bores lying up to 70 m below ground connected with one another by eleven crosscuts spaced at intervals of 500 m. The tunnel will overcome an elevation change of about 95 m. The tunnelling works for both bores will take place simultaneously from two starting points: downhill from Dornstadt to Ulm, and from an intermediate access tunnel from which both bores will be driven uphill to the north and downhill to the south. The JV will move around 1.4 million cu m of soil and rock material during construction. The Albabstieg tunnel is being built using sprayed concrete techniques: the rock is first loosened by blasting before an immediate protection is applied using sprayed concrete and reinforcement steel. The Rhomberg Bahntechnik GmbH and Swietelsky Baugesellschaft m.b.H. were awarded the EUR250 million contract, composed of two lots, for rail track and systems of the new rail link from Wendlingen to Ulm.

Jointly the two companies are responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of a 60km section of the rail project Stuttgart-Ulm..

The contract includes the construction of nearly 118 km slab track, 60 km of which will be in tunnels, and 16 switches as well as the construction of 50-Hz low voltage systems, telecommunications and traction power supply.  2.500 km of cables will also need to be installed, along with the mechanical equipment with ventilation systems, technical rooms and signage and the installation of a 78 km  LED-handrail.

The project is split into two lots: the first lot includes the area in the Albvorland from Wendlingen to the Alb ascent between Weilheim and Hohenstadt, the second lot the Alb plateau from Widderstall to the Alb descent to Ulm. The start of the major contract, is estimated to take 30 months,  the design phase will be from February 2018, and building starts from 2019.

Der neu geplante Bahnhof Stuttgart Flughafen Fernbahnhof, mit zwei oberirdischen Zugangsbauwerken, einem Entrauchungsbauwerk und zwei unterirdischen Bahnsteigröhren, entsteht im Rahmen des Projektes Stuttgart 21 und dient der Anbindung von Messe und Flughafen. Der Flughafentunnel verbindet die neue Station mit der Neubaustrecke, die entlang der A8 verläuft.

Leistungsinhalt:

Der Haltepunkt der Station Stuttgart Flughafen Fernbahnhof besteht aus den Bereichen des zentralen Empfangsgebäudes (Zentraler Zugang), dem Zugang Ost, dem Entrauchungsbauwerk Mitte sowie der unterirdischen, ca. 435m langen Bahnsteigebene in 27m Tiefe.

Während der Bahnhof von einer vorgehängten Aluminium-Zickzack Fassade optisch geprägt wird, erhalten die Eingangsbereiche, Bahnhofshalle und Bahnsteigebene durch die Faserbetonverkleidung ein einheitliches Erscheinungsbild.

Der geplante Bahnhof entspricht der Bahnhofskategorie 3.

Die beiden Bahnsteige des Bahnhofs liegen in zwei separat verlaufenden, bergmännisch erstellten Tunnelröhren und sind mit fünf Querschlägen als Verbindungstunnel miteinander verbunden. Über zwei vertikale Schachtbauwerke ist der Bahnsteigbereich mit dem oberirdischen Empfangsgebäude (Zentraler Zugang) und dem Zugang Ost verbunden. Die barrierefreie Erschließung des Haltepunktes erfolgt über die geplante Aufzugsanlage im kreisrunden Schacht des Zentralen Zugangs sowie über die Aufzugsgruppe im Zugang Ost (Los 2).

Der Hauptzugang zu den Bahnsteigen befindet sich im Bauwerk „Zentraler Zugang“. Das oberirdische Empfangsgebäude ist freistehend, zweigeschossig und weißt eine runde Geometrie auf. Die Bahnhofshalle wird stützenfrei mit einer tragenden Stahlkonstruktion überspannt. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich Vermarktungsflächen, sowie Büroräume der DB AG und der Bundespolizei, weiterhin sind Technikräume, sowie Sanitärbereiche für Personal vorgesehen. Diese Funktionsflächen gruppieren sich im äußeren Ring des Bauwerks. Die Büro- und Vermarktungsflächen schließen nördlich und südlich mit einer Pfosten-Riegelfassade zur Bahnhofshalle an. Notwendige Schächte für Technikinstallationen, Entrauchungsschächte, sowie Flucht- und Techniktreppenhäuser befinden sich in den östlichen und westlichen Bereichen. Eine Lichtkuppel mit einem Durchmesser von ca. 20 m dient zur natürlichen Beleuchtung des zentralen, zylindrischen Schachtes und wird mit einem Folienkissendach überspannt. Der Schacht ist über die gesamte 27m Höhe mit vertikal angereihten Lamellen als Absturzsicherung ausgestattet. Er bildet mit der gläsernen Aufzugsanlage das Herz des Gebäudes und führt die Reisenden mit acht Aufzügen zu den unterirdischen Bahnsteigen. Die Gebäudetechnik ist im Obergeschoss, in den unterirdischen Technikgeschossen, sowie auf der Bahnsteigebene im Bereich des Zentralen Zugangs untergebracht.

Das Bauwerk „Zugang Ost“ dient zum einen als Zugang für Fahrgäste aus den umliegenden Bürogebäuden und Parkhäusern, und schafft zum anderen einen zweiten Fluchtweg von der Bahnsteigebene ins Freie. Der zweigeschossige, elliptische Baukörper beinhaltet im Erdgeschoss die Erschließung zur Bahnsteigebene und im Obergeschoss die Technikräume.

Das Entrauchungsbauwerk Mitte dient als reines Technikgebäude und ist für den öffentlichen Reiseverkehr nicht zugänglich. Es besteht aus einem eingeschossigen, oberirdischen Zugangsbereich und weißt ebenfalls eine runde Geometrie auf. Der Rohbau dieser Anlage befindet sich unterirdisch, als auch oberirdisch, anders als bei den beiden Zugangsanlagen, bereits im Bau.

Bedarfsposition:

Interimslösung „Teilinbetriebnahme der Station NBS- ohne Zugang Ost und ohne östlichen Bahnsteig“

Die Bedarfsposition beinhaltet alle zusätzlichen Leistungen zum Los 1 Ausbau Hochbau des Hauptangebots sowie die nachfolgend beschriebenen Leistungen, die infolge der zweistufigen Inbetriebnahme notwendig werden.

Die Baubereiche 1, 2 und 3 und die zugehörigen Rahmentermine können der Anlage A3.01.02 entnommen werden. In dieser Anlage sind beide Szenarien, Gesamtinbetriebnahme sowie die Teil-Inbetriebnahme in zwei Stufen, dargestellt.

Los 1 Ausbau Hochbau TGA:

Die Ausführung und die Inbetriebsetzung der Station Flughafen Fernbahnhof soll in zwei Stufen geschehen.

Stufe 1: In der ersten Stufe (Teil-IBN in 11/2025) sollen ausschließlich die Baubereiche 1 und 2 in Betrieb genommen werden.

Mit Teilinbetriebnahme der Station ist die vollständige Funktionsfähigkeit der Baubereiche 1 und 2 sicherzustellen, während sich der Baubereich 3 zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch in der Rohbauphase befindet.

Alle notwendigen Planungs- und Bauleistungen sowie Abnahmen und Dokumente für die Interimsmaßnahme „Teilinbetriebnahme“ der Station NBS sind berücksichtigt und Ende Mai 2025 abgeschlossen.

Stufe 2: In der zweiten Stufe (Gesamtinbetriebnahme 11/20226) erfolgt mit Fertigstellung des Baubereiches 3, inklusive aller Nachinstallationen, auf der Basis der bereits in Betrieb befindlichen Baubereiche 1 und 2 (erforderlichen Bauzeitfenster sind mit dem Bahnbetrieb abzustimmen), die Gesamtinbetriebnahme der Station NBS.

Alle notwendigen Planungs- und Bauleistungen sowie Abnahmen und Dokumente für die Gesamtinbetriebnahme der Station NBS sind berücksichtigt und Ende März 2026 abgeschlossen.

Die Nachinstallationen in den Baubereichen 1 und 2 in der Stufe zwei sind bei laufendem Bahnbetrieb des 1. Abschnitts durchzuführen. Der hierfür notwendige zusätzliche Aufwand ist zu berücksichtigen und die dazu erforderlichen Zeitfenster sind mit dem Bahnbetrieb abzustimmen.

Folgende zusätzliche bauliche Maßnahmen im Baubereich 1 und 2, inklusive aller Abnahmen und Dokumente, sind, neben noch notwendigen weiteren Leistungen aus Ihrer Planung, zu berücksichtigen:

• Einbau, Vorhaltung, und Rückbau bei laufendem Bahn- und Baubetrieb von einer nichttragenden Schottwand als Brandwand (mind. F90) inkl. Brandschutztüren (mind. F90) am Bahnsteigende östlich des Verbindungsbauwerkes 4 (VB4), Nord- und Südröhre mit Brandschutztüren: 2x im Entrauchungskanal bmin.=1,26m, 2x auf Bahnsteigebene bmin.=1,51m, 2x auf Gleisebene bmin.=2,51m

• Einbau, Vorhaltung, und Rückbau bei laufendem Bahn- und Baubetrieb von einer Brandschutzschottung des großen und kleinen Medienkanals am Bahnsteigende, östlich der Schottwand• Einbau, Vorhaltung, und Rückbau bei laufendem Bahn- und Baubetrieb von einer Brandabschottung des Entrauchungskanals, Nord- und Südröhre. Die erforderlichen Brandschutztüren sind oben bereits beschrieben

• Die Bahnsteige Nord- und Südröhre, einschl. VB4 sind inklusive aller Ausstattungen zu 100%

fertiggestellt.

• Zur Inbetriebnahme der Stufe eins als auch in der Übergangsphase zur Stufe zwei muss

insbesondere im VB4 die gesamte Bahnsteigbreite als Flucht- und Rettungsweg

uneingeschränkt zur Verfügung stehen.

• Für den Rückbau und Anpassungen der Interimsmaßnahmen sowie für alle Abnahmen in

Vorbereitung einer Gesamtinbetriebnahme stehen im Wechsel je Röhre eine Woche

Vollsperrung zur Verfügung.

Die Medienkanäle Nord- und Südröhre sind bis östlich der Schottwand am VB4 fertiggestellt.

• Östlich der Schottwand bestehen keine Lagerflächen.

• Östlich der Schottwand stehen 5 m Arbeitsraum für die Erstellung der Schottwand sowie für

Interimsinstallationen (Pumpen, Hebeanlagen etc.) zur Verfügung. Der Bereich ist mit einem

geschlossenen Zaun zum Baubereich 3 abzusichern.

• Interimslösung Tunnelentwässerung (auch für den Havariefall)

• Interimslösung Löschwasserversorgung Station, da unterirdischer Löschwasserspeicher noch nicht zur Verfügung steht

• Erhöhter Aufwand der Baustellenversorgung ist bei dieser Alternative zu berücksichtigen. Eine Andienung der Baustelle über den Tunnel, in der ersten Bauphase über ZO sowie in der zweiten Bauphase über ZZ und EBM ist nicht möglich.

• Vorhalten von Räumlichkeiten für Teil-IBN zur Sicherstellung der Versorgung für die Interimslösung (z.B. Schaltschränke, Bahnfunk, etc.)

• Für den Rückbau und Anpassungen der Interimsmaßnahmen sowie für alle Abnahmen in Vorbereitung einer Gesamtinbetriebnahme stehen im Wechsel je Röhre zwei Wochen Vollsperrung zur Verfügung.

• Die Koordination der Lose 2 und 3 erfolgt durch das Los 1.

Hofoldinger Aqueduct

  Third and final $51 million section to complete pressure tunnel to replace 30 km-long, 100 year-old aqueduct carrying pure drinking water to the city of Munich from collection caverns in the foothills of the Alps awarded to Hochtief. Contract includes five shafts with diameters 8 m to 12 m to 20 m depth. Tunnel will be 3.4 m bored diameter, segmentally lined, backgrouted with additive-free cement, and internally lined with 2.2 m-diameter steel pipes. Earlier contracts for 10 km-long and 2.5 km-long sections executed by Bilfinger & Berger using Lovat EPB. Construction to commence in May, 2000. October 1999.  Lovat 3.15 m TBM with mixed face cuttinghead ordered by Hochtief for 17.45 km tunnel at 1.49 % grade in two drives from centrally-located shaft. Geology consists of predominantly dense to very dense sandy gravel, clay and silt over 60 % of the alignment and conglomerate with UCS of 10 Mpa over the remainder. Four-piece expanded lining of precast concrete segments 1.2 m long and 125 mm thick will be erected by TBM. November 1999.
