CMC Cooperativa Muratori e Cementisti di Ravenna has been contracted, between four firms competing, for construction and completion of works at Melamchi Water Supply project, including headworks and intake structure, permanent support for already-completed 6.5 km-long tunnel, construction of 21.3 km-long water diversion tunnel with permanent support, and associated concrete and structural works. Value of contract Rs 7.72 billion, duration 36 months. Tunnel excavation will be from six faces using six drillrigs. The first contract for construction of headworks and tunnel was awarded on 19.02.2009 to China Railway 15 Bureau Group with intended completion date of 02.09.2013. Earlier, on Dec 01.12.2012, the government floated a fresh tender for the headworks and diversion tunnel construction after the previous contractor abandoned the project midway. 60 MW run of river plant on Khimti Khola river being developed as a 50-year own-operate scheme under private management by licensee Himal Power Ltd, which is owned 74 % by Statkraft of Norway. Other partners are ABB Energi, Kvaerner Energy and Butwal Power Company of Nepal. Construction commenced June, 1996 but poor rock quality has caused problems accompanied by delays. However, the contractors have kept to overall schedule and startup should take place on time in 2000. More background information from www.statkraft.no April 2000. Contractor prequalification expected September, 2001 for 27 km-long tunnel to be let in two contracts by Melamchi Water Development Board as part of $400 million scheme. The Province of South Holland has awarded the EUR492 million contract for building the RijnlandRoute to the consortium Comol5, composed of TBI companies Mobilis and Croonwolter&dros (25% each), DIMCO - DEME Infra Marine Contractors (25%) and VINCI Construction Grands Projets (25%). Croonwolter & dros is responsible for the tunnel technical installations. Comol5 will have to rebuild the motorway junction at Leiden West, build a new 4-km roadway (N434) that includes a 2.2-km tunnel segment, widen motorway sections totalling 12 km in length, and make required adjustments on motorways A4 and A44 required for construction of the RijnlandRoute.

These will be made under traffic with related  interchanges . In addition to construction, which will be completed in about 6 years. Schiphol has signed long-term contracts with BAM, Heijmans and VolkerWessels to carry out works at Schiphol for a maximum period of nine years with a total estimated value of EUR2.5-3.5 billion over this period.

The majority of the works are for maintaining and investing in existing infrastructure at the airport. BAM, Heijmans and VolkerWessels were preferred candidates for various parts of the tender since August 2018, as listed below, following a European tender:

De Opdracht “De beste leverancier voor de vluchtdeuren in het Rijksmonument Maastunnel” met projectnummer 1-L-12492-21, die is beschreven in dit Beschrijvend Document gaat om het ontwikkelen, vervaardigen, leveren en installeren van 9 vluchtdeuren ter vervanging van de bestaande vluchtdeuren, ten behoeve van de autotunnel van de Maastunnel.

De Maastunnel, o.a. bestaande uit twee tunnelbuizen, is een tunnel voor het stadsverkeer en is onderdeel van één van de belangrijkste verkeersaders van Rotterdam. In de middenwand tussen de West- en Oostbuis bevinden zich 9 vluchtdeuren, met onderlinge afstanden variërend van 97 tot 123 meter. Er is geen middentunnelkanaal in de autotunnel. De vluchtdeuren zijn uitgevoerd als schuifdeuren, die aan beide zijden met een deurhendel geopend en gesloten kunnen worden. De deuren schuiven in een inkassing in de middenwand in de Westbuis. In openstand blijven de vluchtdeuren in de Westbuis volledig zichtbaar.

De huidige vluchtdeuren zijn te lood geplaatst in het horizontale gedeelte van de tunnel en onder een hoek in de hellingbanen van de tunnel (waarbij de deur opent in de richting van het lagere gedeelte van de tunnel).
