The cutter head of the more than 400-foot long TBM MaMaJo was lowered nearly 200 feet down Monday, Feb. 4, 2019. The machine will drill a 5-mile tunnel designed to protect rivers from sewer overflow and neighbourhoods from flooding. The project is part of 3RPORT (Three Rivers Protection and Overflow Reduction Tunnel). The tunnel will be operational in 2023.Click here for the video, here and us/122 for the tunnelbuilder archive.
