Excavation, portal structure construction and TBM removal continues in March at the Northern Tunnel Portal site and is on track for completion in mid-2022. 

Once the team reaches the required depth, concrete base slabs and inner walls will be progressively built within the structure. 

Ongoing activities include waterproofing and construction of a concrete slab on top of the roof, which will be backfilled using material stockpiled on site.
