Kummler Matter EVT SA from
Le Mont-sur-Lausanne secured the EUR8.49 million (CHF).67 million)
contract, excluding VAT, for supply and installation of Safety Equipment on the
LEB (Lausanne-Flon – Cheseaux). The Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher railway line
currently operates on two systems of security installations. The system
deployed on the Lausanne Flon - Cheseaux section will be obsolete soon. The
rest of the line is equipped with a newer system. At the same time and with a
view to improving safety, the LEB will extend the Chauderon tunnel under the
Avenue d'Echallens, to the Union-Prilly station, to put this part of the line
underground.
With the arrival of this new tunnel, the renewal of safety
installations on the Lausanne-Flon-Cheseaux section must be made, in order to
improve the operation of the line and optimize the maintenance of these
facilities. Contact Compagnie du Chemin de fer Lausanne-Echallens-Bercher
