The 13.8km section includes the Chuebalm (1,339m), Sengg (823m) and Giessbach (3,340m) tunnels. The contract includes equipment upgrading and aims to improve safety. Existing equipment will be increased and new water tanks built at Hoflue / Fura will be built to ensure water supply for firefighting in tunnels.
