Rhaetische Bahn AG has awarded the EUR116.5 million contract to build the 5,860 m-long Albula Tunnel II to the consortium of Porr Suisse (lead and technical management), Walo Bertschinger AG (commercial management) and Societa Italiana per Condotte d’acqua SpA (technical co-management). The tunnel is 1,800m above sea level. Construction will start in April, 2015 and tunnelling will be completed by December, 2017. Completion of entire project scheduled for August, 2019.
