Implenia Sverige AB secured the EUR for the expansion of the
West Coast Line to double tracks between Varberg and Hamra. The contract includes
the construction of 7.5 km of new double tracks, bridges and other civil
engineering works for both passenger and freight trains. The railway will go underneath Varberg
through a 3.1 km Varberg tunnel (2.8km rock tunnel and 300 m concrete tunnel). Contact
