A €36.5 million contract has been awarded to a JV of Sacyr and Cavosa to build the outer ring road in Santa Cruz de La Palma on Isle of La Palma. The alignment circles the city by the west and necesitates four tunnels plus a fifth short tunnel on a connection road. The road stretches for 3,717 metres, of which 1,650 m in tunnel.
