Breakthrough reported on the 1.8 km Las Rojales tunnel under the Balaguer massif on 17th September, 2001. Main structure of the 19.6 km new Mediterranean Euromed train corridor between Barcelona and Alicante that will connect with the high-speed line in Camp de Tarragona in Catalonia.
