The JV Tuneles Eje Atlantico (Sociedad Iberica de Construcciones Electricas, S.A. – Enclavamientos y Senalizacion Ferroviaria Enyse, S.A.) of Alcobendas secured the EUR4.98 million contract, excluding VAT, for delivery and installation of safety equipment in tunnels longer than 1 km on the section Vigo-Santiago di Compostela on the Atlantic coast high-speed link. The equipment includes emergency signalling and lighting systems, power and hydraulic systems, detection, fire fighting and control systems. The main tunnels are Redondela (2,491 m), Quinteiro (1,970 m), Bustelo (1,486 m), San Amaro (1,190 m) and Valicobas (1,351 m).
