Design contest notices, deadline 30th September, 2003 for design of the second ring road in Donostia-San Sebastian and follow-up, checking and reports prior to supervision of construction. The project includes three dual tunnels: Arriceta or Aritzeta (299 m), Menditxo (360 m) and Perurena (510 m). Two lanes, 66.2 sq m cross section for Aritzeta. Three lanes, 96.77 sq m cross section for Menditxo and Perurena. Shotcrete and bolts, type Gewi or similar, as support. Geology consists of sandy limestone, marls and stratified sandstone. Work to start in early 2005.
