The Land Transport Authority plans to build a new MRT line, likely to be fully underground. It will serve the Bukit Panjang, Upper Bukit Timah and Bukit Timah areas, relieving the heavy traffic in the Upper Bukit Timah / Bukit Timah / Dunearn Road corridor.
