Cowi AS from Olso secured the EUR1.47 million (NOK14.79
million) contract, excluding VAT, for the preparation of a new detailed zoning
plan for the new mainland connection from Færder. The section is from County
road Fv 300 at Jarlsberg Travbane (Race track) in Tonsberg municipality to the
County road Fv 309 Smidsrodveien in Færder municipality. The stretch will
include 3 rock tunnels with a total length of approx. 3 km, an elevated bridge
over Vestfjorden with a length of approx. 600 m. The open air stretches will
include 6 intersections and roundabouts. The stretch from Jarlsberg Travbane to
Kolberg (length approx. 5,3 km) will be constructed as a four-lane road.
