The project, worth over EUR595 million in total, calls for the financing, design and construction of an immersed, 8-lane road tunnel, refurbishment of the existing 600 m tunnel and maintenance of both tunnels for a period of 30 years. The concessionaire will receive an income in the form of an annual payment paid by the concession-awarding authority. The amount will depend on the actual availability of the tunnel infrastructure to users, which connect the centre of Amsterdam with the northern part of the Netherlands.
