The preliminary design of the second line between the airport and the central station plans 6 km of tunnel and eight stations. Route will cross the Reno and Navile rivers. TBM start near the Reno up to Piazza dell'Unití where the line will intersect with Line 1 Fiera-Staveco. Cost estimated at €284 million. Approval by the government expected in June 2003. 49/02.
