The JV Lauro SpA./De Giuliani Srl (designers: Tecnital S.p.A./ Fi.Tre. Srl), Via delle Rimembranze, 38, Borgosesia, tel +39 0163 25345, fax +39 0163 21549, secured the EUR71.5 million contract for construction of the 2.9 km Saint-Oyen bypass on road SS 27 to the Gran San Bernardo pass. The contract includes a 2,658 m single bore tunnel. The tunnel equipment includes lighting, ventilation, security systems, remote control, fire and traffic lights.
