Münchner Stadsentwässerung has awarded Wayss & Freytag
Ingenieurbau AG, part of the Royal Bam Group, the EUR20 million contract for
the construction of two wastewater tunnels in Munich. The project will be
completed in the spring of 2021. The two tunnels have a total length of 2,180 m
and will be constructed at 7 to 12 m below the Landsberger Strasse in the west
of the city. For this, Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau will use a hydro-shield
tunnel boring machine with an external diameter of 3.6 m. The project also
